OH SHIT. I just missed my smithing course. Stupid school. I was just so tired that I fell asleep. And now I realize it’s 10 to 7. Nearly 2 hours after I was supposed to leave.

So. School still sucks. Still swallows. Still gives a rim job afterwards. The only thing I look forward to is Crossley せんせい in Japanese. I just get so excited when I go to her classroom. She is the greatest teacher ever to put it in short. Or Crossley せんせい　は　すごい　ですよ. She really does care about her students. She apologized for making me redo the things I did last year. Not that I mind, though. Maybe I just idolize her too much. Or maybe she really is awesome.

For next class (metal smithing), we are supposed to have an idea for our next project. I want to do leaf pendant. Like this pic right beside the text. It’s just that I want a single leaf. It’d be good homage to AFI. No, I’m not obsessed with AFI as my blog space would suggest. They are just my favorite band.

I might consider a different design. Who knows? I’ll probably want to get a bunny in there, too. A rabbit with a leaf. Or the 3 rabbits and a leaf in the center.

Ah, whatever. Something’ll happen. It will turn out all crappy and bad and malformed. Stuff like that happens all the time.

Lookit! Lookit! A poll!!! Vote. Just cuz I said so. My blog is absolutely boring so you should vote “yup”. My opinion. Since probably no one sees this site, there won’t be any votes! At least, I won’t be expecting any votes. So surprise me. I like surprises.

So I started my silver-smithing courses. Of course, we are just starting out with the basics, like making a simple (when I say simple, I MEAN simple) ring. It’s just a band of sterling silver. It’s kind of easy, maybe if you know what you’re doing. My ring is sorta half done. I still have to solder the seam and round it out. It’s an oblong shape currently, which is what you get when shaping metal with your fingers, a pair of nylon-tipped pliers, and a rawhide hammer. It’ll probably turn out to be sort of a thumb ring. I’ll also have to take the saw to it again. Fix the seam up.

Coming home from the course was sort of a nightmare. I had a migraine and it was so bad that it was making me nauseous. When I got back, at 9:30pm, I did some menial task and then I passed out on my futon for 2 hours. I still have a bit of a headache. Not strong enough to keep me away from my blog, though. Gotta keep posting for anyone who’s following the blog!

The Third Season, Silver Fragments, and Anxiety

So fall is coming soon. The leaves are starting to pale to yellow, the grass is turning brown. The temperature is starting to drop further during the night, so I can’t keep my window open. The sun is changing it’s angle in the sky and starts setting around 7-8ish.

And nothing beats breathing in silver dust for 3 hours straight. Literally, silver dust. Let me see YOU file a silver pendant to perfection without breathing the stuff!

I am not liking the idea of school starting up again. Plus this year I’m going to try to get a job. I ought to get a job. Maybe it will show the ‘rents that I’m not a child and I don’t need my hand held all the time. I don’t wanna go back to a place where no one likes me. I don’t want to walk past people and remember just what cruel things they’ve done. Don’t wanna go back.

A New Hobby, Courses Outside School, and My Kitties

I’m here again. And taking up jewel-making. Tis fun. Though a bit hard if you don’t know what you’re doing or if you don’t have any experience with saws and sanding tools. I made a gemstone tonight of amazonite. It’s this light blue, almost a very light green. If I had a digital camera, I’d take a pic, upload it to my computer and post it, but I don’t have one and life sucks.

Also, I’m going to take silver smithing courses this summer every Wednesday night from 6pm to 9pm. Gonna be fun.

I’m miserable. I miss my kitties Snow and Baby. Daddy-dearest (that goddamn bastard) gave them away without telling me when we moved back to Alberta from New Brunswick. He told me they were going to stay in our North Tay house until we could get them back here. That bastard. That fucking asshole. It really breaks my heart.

I had Snow since I was five, so that’s 9 years I’ve had him. And it’s been 2 years without him. He’s now 11 years old, that old fart! Hahaha! He is the cutest redpoint cat you could ever have, if a bit antisocial. I love him to death even now.

Baby is quite a bit younger. He’s about 5 years old and he is the damn friendliest cat you ever did see. He has a habit of licking hands, arms, and sometimes your face if he can reach it.
