It’s October already? Holy shit.

The Hell?

First off, Chadam, you could have given warning before changing your MySpazz nickname. I wondered if someone h4×0r3|) my own ‘Spazz and added another person.

Secondly, time goes pretty fast. My birthday is in 5 days. Wow. 17 years on this Earth… and I am not pleased with the majority of what I have seen.

I stopped in PJ’s Pets today and saw that they had a pink-toed tarantula. I looked at it for 5 minutes. I decided I liked it. It was grey (no pink at all, not even the toes), small enough to fit in the palm of my hand, and very furry. AND I WASN’T AFRAID OF IT. That had to be the strangest thing ever. I’m seriously creeped out by those small, hairless spiders, but I could probably hold that tarantula I saw today and not care.

You’d never guess what my little brother asked me today. He asked: “Missy, what’s the point of living when we’re going to die anyway?” I told him: “Even I don’t know the answer to that. It’s what I think about everyday”. That little encounter was a bit bizarre.

Of Androgyny and Unexpected Events

Today sorta kicked me in the gut. Surprises came from different sources. First off, I discovered I have a -little- bit of self-esteem after all. Second came from my English 20-2 class: James is in it. WTF? James is soooooo smart, I don’t know why he’s in a dumbed-down class. Thirdly, someone talked to me! Of their own free will! Why isn’t the sky falling?!

The biggest for last, of course: Androgyny! There’s this boy in my Japanese 20 class, and oh my God he is soooooo effeminate! He looks like a girl. I love it. I still think of him as a girl from time to time. It’s funny. It makes my brain hurt cuz my eyes say he’s a girl, but my knowledge says he’s a boy. He’s a Haku:

Yeah, yeah, I know those aren’t Haku’s exact words in that panel, but he does say something very similar at the end of the scene. It’s just to get the point across. In a fan translation it is “Oh… and… I’m a boy”. In the published English version, he says “…So… …you should know… I’m a boy”. Yeah, with all those periods. Not kiddin’ ya. So today was interesting.

Lookit! Lookit! A poll!!! Vote. Just cuz I said so. My blog is absolutely boring so you should vote “yup”. My opinion. Since probably no one sees this site, there won’t be any votes! At least, I won’t be expecting any votes. So surprise me. I like surprises.

So I started my silver-smithing courses. Of course, we are just starting out with the basics, like making a simple (when I say simple, I MEAN simple) ring. It’s just a band of sterling silver. It’s kind of easy, maybe if you know what you’re doing. My ring is sorta half done. I still have to solder the seam and round it out. It’s an oblong shape currently, which is what you get when shaping metal with your fingers, a pair of nylon-tipped pliers, and a rawhide hammer. It’ll probably turn out to be sort of a thumb ring. I’ll also have to take the saw to it again. Fix the seam up.

Coming home from the course was sort of a nightmare. I had a migraine and it was so bad that it was making me nauseous. When I got back, at 9:30pm, I did some menial task and then I passed out on my futon for 2 hours. I still have a bit of a headache. Not strong enough to keep me away from my blog, though. Gotta keep posting for anyone who’s following the blog!
